EBAC APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The accreditation process is performed on-line from the EBAC website: www.ebac-cme.org http://www.ebac-cme.org/newsite/index.php ("Accreditation Services" button).

You will find attached the "Guide to on-line accreditation"  detailing the application process as well as the "EBAC Recommendations for CME Providers" that contains the EBAC rules and policies that CME Providers need to comply with in order to obtain the accreditation.

EBAC accredits educational programmes, which are organised under the responsibility of a scientific  or academic institution, such as:
1 - International and national professional medical societies (and their associated working groups or affiliated societies),
2 - Universities,
3 - Teaching hospitals.

You may apply for EBAC accreditation if a university, teaching hospital or medical scientific society takes responsibility for the scientific contents of the programme, and appoints a scientific director for the course (endorsement letter).

There are 2 forms to complete on-line:
The Registration Form: to register the Scientific Institution responsible for the scientific content of the programme
The Application Form: which describes the educational programme itself.

We encourage you to consult the EBAC website www.ebac-cme.org <www.ebac-cme.htm> which contains all the information on EBAC policies, documents, templates.
You will find examples of EBAC application and registration forms in the Documents Library http://www.ebac-cme.org/newsite/library/index.php section of our website.

We also recommend you to submit your programme - if possible - 3 to 4 months before the event takes place and in any case no later than 8 weeks before.
